Green Apple Award for JLP
JLP collected a prestigious Silver Green Apple Award at a ceremony held at the Tower of London on 14 June.
Strategic Procurement Manager Paul Sandison and Business Development Manager Steve Bower were awarded a silver trowel in the Small to Medium Companies category at the National Green Apple Awards for the Built Environment.
The award recognised our achievement of virtually 100% waste recycling at our site at Vincent Place, Stevenage Old Town. Working in partnership with Powerday, our waste management contractor, JLP significantly cut mileage in transportation of contaminated soils and have continued to eliminate waste throughout the construction process. We achieved our target of zero waste to landfill, eleven years ahead of the government target of 2020.
