JLP Strategic Procurement Manager joins panel discussion at Supply Chain Management Conference
Construction News has invited Paul Sandison, JLP’s Strategic Procurement Manager to join its panel discussion at the “Supply Chain Management in Construction” conference in London. The conference on 27 January 2010, aims to help Contractors and Suppliers understand how to maintain and foster effective supply chain strategies during difficult financial periods.
Paul joined JLP in October 2006 to develop and implement a strategic procurement strategy for the business. He has played a key part in the achievement of our ISO 14001 sustainability accreditation. Paul has initiated JLP’s strategic partnership with waste management contractor Powerday. He is also involved in piloting the installation of energy monitors in all our new homes.
Paul’s previous career has included senior buying roles with several national housebuilders; before developing his procurement career he managed various branches for a national chain of Builders Merchants.
Together with other experienced professionals in supply chain procurement, Paul will sit on the afternoon panel entitled “Logistics planning: driving efficiency of supply chains and optimising project delivery”. The seminar will discuss how logistic planning can drive efficiency through the supply chain; the benefit of logistics planning throughout the business, and the use of logistic planning to reduce project costs and maximise competitiveness.
